Texas in the Summer

There’s something really special about a Texas summer. The hot days not to be spent too far away from a body of water, the smell of sunscreen, and the warm nights.

I recognize I’m feeling especially nostalgic and that the 100+ degree weather is not the thing I’ll miss most about the state. But for such extreme conditions I’m always surprised about the amount of community¬†activities and life that happens outside of A/C’d spaces.

Some of my favorite places to celebrate summer in Austin include Barton Springs, the Greenbelt, and Blues on the Green all pictured below.
