I’ve been wanting to write this post before documenting my road trip to California and my new life in San Francisco, but it’s been really hard to come up with the appropriate wrap up to 6 wonderful years of adulthood in one of the best cities in the world. In many ways, Austin was the city that built me and I’m grateful for it’s warmth (in climate and in people), and the way that it made it possible for me to slowly grow into an independent woman.
My time in Austin is acutely separated between UT life and post grad life. They were both magical in their own way. College for me was a time to feel free, inspired, challenged, and young. Post grad was about feeling refined, centered, empowered, myself.
I’m not much of a writer, so I’ve compiled some of my favorite memories of the past 6 years to document. This is my “in memoriam”. I was happy there and it has been scary to leave, it was really hard to walk away from amazing people. I know the many reasons I left, but just as present are the ones of why I think I will return some day.
